In 2018, Vadim became a prize-winner of the Russian Boxing Championship, and then received a call-up to the Russian boxing team. In mid-November 2019, at the Russian Championship, which was held in Samara, he won the bronze medal in 2020, at the Russian championship he reached the quarterfinals. On September 4, 2021 in Kemerovo, having defeated Yuri Osipov in the final, he became the champion of Russia in boxing. Vadim was also recognized as the best boxer of the 2019 international tournament in Slovenia. In 2021, he became the vice-champion of the world. Vadim started his performance in Belgrade more than convincingly, in the very first fight he knocked out the owner of the ring. Then there were victories in three subsequent fights and a defeat in the final from the Ukrainian Yuri Zakhareev.
